Athletes Foot in Columbus Circle
Athlete' s Foot is a common infection of the foot. It causes red, cracked skin and water filled blisters on the soles of the feet or between the toes that may itch or burn. It can infect the toenails (fungus toenails), causing them to become discolored and thickened.
Athlete' s Foot is contagious and left untreated it can lead to secondary bacterial infection, especially in diabetics and patients with circulatory problems. Therefore, prompt treatment is recommended to cure this disease and prevent re-infection of the patient or family members. Treatment consists of identifying and removing the offending material and medicating the skin and toenails to alleviate the inflammation, reduce the rash, blisters and affected toenails.
I had my right foot bunion removal 9 years ago with Dr, Thurm and now I came back for the left foot. I feel very good do not even look like I ever had it on my right foot. I recommend this doctor to everybody . He is pleasant professional experienced podiatrist.
Dr. Thurm was very professional. He is very clear and takes the time to explain what he is saying. I did not feel rushed and felt very respected as a patient. I would definitely recommend him.
